Our partnership with SSP, the leading food and beverage provider in travel locations worldwide, has established us as their go-to strip-out specialist for several projects in key London locations, such as the AMT Coffee, Whistlestop and Panopolis stores in Liverpool Street, and Pumpkin Café in Sevenoaks. 

As an integrated interior fit-out contractor, we know the importance of carrying out these works effectively. Strip-outs are often overlooked when showcasing interiors, yet they provide a clean slate for new exceptional fit-outs. They also present unique challenges, from handling hazardous materials, like asbestos, to managing waste disposal.  

Our recent work with SSP demonstrates how meticulous planning allows us to successfully transform spaces, preparing them for the next phase of development. No matter the turnaround times or the complexities of working in a live environment, we always deliver on time. 

When stripping out existing retail spaces, we remove the current fit-out elements and adapt the layout of the ground floor to subsequent fit-out works in line with the architect’s drawings and specifications.  Some projects encompass CAT B amendments to the floor plate, re-working walls and decorating them. 

The scope of works for all these projects included removal of wall linings, reception counters, floor finishes, racking, electrical cables and CCTV. Our team also coordinated the disposal of appliances with the nominated contractor, taking ownership and proactively finding solutions. With health and safety being central to our process, the fire alarms in all sites were isolated at the start of the shift and made live at the end of each working day. All sprinklers were drained down at the start of the strip-out and re-filled once work was completed.
