Job details
The project manager is responsible for the success of the project as a whole. This will take place from the outset design all the way through to the handover and 12-month defects of the project.
The site manager and the design team will report directly into the project manager, and they will be responsible for the site managers performance through the construction phase.
The coordination of all trades is the responsibility of the project manager as well as the H&S on site.
Certificates required for a Project Manager:
- CSCS card
- SSSTS
- First Aid
- Asbestos Awareness
- Fire Warden
- PASMA but not mandatory
Responsibilities of the project manager:
- Produce the construction programme in Worksavi and ensure this is kept up to date daily basis.
- Management of the site manager and ensure they are carrying out there
- Management of the designer allocated
- Management and coordination of the subcontractor’s
- Producing the CPP check sheet and issuing to the admin team to compile
- Produce the fire action plan
- Produce the fire strategy plan
- Produce the logistics plan
- Produce the traffic management plan
- Produce the hospital location plan
- Produce the project directory
- Produce the O&M tracker and request and file all O&M’s ready for the admin team to collate.
- Produce the risk register
- Produce the RFI schedule and maintain
Weekly to do list:
- Ensure all drawings and information that is on site is current and up to date.
- If any changes to the current construction issue drawings are made on site an email is issued to the designer for updates of drawings.
- Ensure work Savi is up to date on a daily basis.
- Complete a weekly project managers weekly inspection.
- Carry out a trade contractor meeting with the supply chain issuing minutes using the template and issuing a dropline programme within 24 hours of the meeting
- Carrying out a client meeting as often as required by the client. Please ensure minutes are taken and issued or the client minutes are reviewed actions and align with what was discussed.
- Keep the RFI tracker up to date and current in worksavi
- Keep the risk register up to date and current in worksavi
- Issue weekly waste returns to danielle.bennett@dennejoinery.co.uk
- Coordinate with building control and the design team to ensure our projects are compliant.
- Coordinate with the principal designer and ensure all risks are captured
- Ensure snagging is taking place and closed out by the supply chain in good time.
- A Weekly report is to be issued to your line manager for review by Midday 12:00 every Friday and issued by COB that Friday:
- Template on the server this will be taken over by Worksavi in the coming weeks.

- Commercial overview to be obtained by the commercial manager including variations
Project Close Out
- Ensure all O&M’s are in place including the life safety elements
- Ensure all supply chain have issued and signed the declaration form.
- Ensure the building control certificate is obtained
- Ensure all H&S paperwork is returned to the admin team within 48 hours of the project completion
- Within 2 weeks of the project completion ensure the supply chain KPI is completed and issued.
- Ensure all defects are captured and closed out in good time.
- Ensure the 12-month defect meeting is booked in a minimum of 4 weeks before the date and all defects are closed out in good time of the defect date.
