DBSJ named by The Sunday Times as one of Britain’s Top 20 fastest-growing private companies

The newspaper has revealed DBSJ as the 20th fastest-growing company in Britain in 2024 with a Capital Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 158.5% over three years.
Each year The Sunday Times celebrates the UK’s entrepreneurial achievements. Today, DBSJ is recognised as one of Britain’s Top 20 fastest-growing private companies after being included in The Sunday Times 100, Britain’s fastest-growing private companies league table. To qualify, all businesses must be independent, headquartered in the UK, have sales in their latest year in excess of £5 million (but not more than £250 million), and be profitable.
DBSJ is a national interiors fit-out contractor for the office, retail, and hospitality sectors. Having started life as a joinery manufacturer in 2011, it was acquired by the chief executive, Darren Hill, in 2022 and has since seen exceptional growth of 158.5% as it expanded and entered into the fit-out industry.
Today, DBSJ is responsible for delivering design, build, shopfitting, and joinery projects for a growing portfolio of partners. With extensive expertise, DBSJ brings projects to life, ranging from iconic flagship spaces to nationwide rollouts of strategic programmes. The company now partners and collaborates with prominent brands such as Specsavers, Spaces, Regus, and Headlam, aiding in their expansion across the UK. As a sign of its growth, in 2023, DBSJ successfully delivered a flagship project for IWG, the Engine Room co-working space in the newly redeveloped Battersea Power Station.

Headquartered in Kent, over the last three years, DBSJ has expanded to support customers from its Cambridge, Manchester and Edinburgh locations, each with local supply chains and dedicated teams on the ground. Furthermore, in November last year DBSJ acquired Denne Joinery, one of Britain’s oldest joinery companies.
