Fit Out, Design, Joinery
We recently completed a medical suite fit-out for the Folkestone Eye Centre, part of the NHS. Located in the Basepoint serviced offices on the stunning Kent coast, this brand-new medical facility features a surgical suite, six consulting and treatment rooms, and a reception and waiting area. Our design, joinery and fit-out teams worked with the client to create a modern and welcoming clinic that felt calm and relaxed yet fully equipped to carry out a range of specialist treatments and surgeries. With optimising productivity key to the design brief, we focused on creating a functional, stress-free clinic for patients and staff and adapted the existing space to ensure DDA access.
The eye clinic features bespoke joinery handmade in our workshop in Canterbury, Kent. We produced fully coordinated layout plans, elevations and manufacturing drawings for each element and we also created 3D visualisations for the client to understand the space better and significantly speed up the sign-off process. The project was a huge success, and we are delighted with the result. Delivered in just five weeks, the 2,750ft2 will be open to patients in Spring 2023.
