Everyone at DBSJ learnt their trade through someone who dedicated their time to teaching them, so we are passionate about continuing to nurture skills in our industry. Our ‘Get Into Joinery’ campaign and apprenticeship scheme sees us work in collaboration with our local schools and colleges to spread awareness about a career in construction, providing clarity on what roles are available and routes of entry.

We offer three-year apprenticeship programmes in bench joinery and furniture manufacturing, as well as trainee management programmes for design, estimating and site-based roles. We are passionate about developing the next generation of industry leaders and are committed to passing on specialist skills that are not widely taught anymore, such as veneering.
