Fit Out, Design
Our team has worked with Instant Group to deliver CAT A and CAT B office fit-outs across its portfolio. From former retail warehouses and large commercial buildings to small bespoke office units, they have transformed many properties into high-quality workspaces for Instant’s leasehold clients. Working from concept drawings and Instant Groups’ design guide, our team provided detailed technical designs, ensuring the buildability of the office spaces. Covering locations such as Ashford, Hackney Preston and Blackpool, the projects ranged in size from 12,000ft2 to 32,000ft2 and lasted 12 to 22 weeks.
One of the most unique projects Laurence and his team have been involved in was the transformation of an old Magnet warehouse in Maidstone into modern, spacious offices. The 17-week project involved a full fit-out of the building, with work in the unusual property taking place as supply chains were disrupted by Britain’s exit from the European Union. Laurence led his team to navigate the challenge of working with a pitched tin roof, creating a specialist sub-grid to bridge the 7.5m gap from slab to pitch, and then sourced a Vespa fire alarm system with perforated holes in the pipework to minimise future maintenance. They also installed 44m thick acoustic ceiling tiles to create a comfortable working environment.
